Prince Charles and Princess Diana

Prince Charles and Princess Diana were married on July 29, 1981. Their divorce was finalized on Aug. 28, 1996.

Princess Anne and Mark Phillips

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip's only daughter married Mark Phillips on Nov. 14, 1973. They were divorced on April 23, 1992. Anne married Timothy Laurence in December.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson

Queen Elizabeth's second-born, Prince Andrew, married Sarah Ferguson on July 23, 1986. They divorced officially on May 23, 1996.

Princess Margaret

Princess Margaret, Queen Elizabeth's younger sister, married Antony Armstrong-Jones on May 6, 1960. They were divorced in 1978.

Princess Stephanie of Monaco

Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier's daughter, Princess Stephanie of Monaco, has been married twice. Her first marriage to Daniel Ducruet (seen here) lasted from 1995-1996. Her second, to Adans Lopez Peres, also lasted a year, from 2003-2004.

Princess Caroline of Monaco

Princess Caroline of Monaco married Philippe Junot in 1978. They divorced in 1980.

Caroline's second husband, Stefano Casiraghi (seen here), died in a boating accident in 1990. Caroline then married Ernst August, Prince of Hanover, in 1999.

Prince Joachim of Denmark

Prince Joachim of Denmark with his then-fiancee, Alexandra Christina Manley, May 31, 1995. They married on Nov. 18, 1995, and divorced on April 8, 2005. The prince married Marie Cavallier on May, 24, 2008.

Princess Irene of the Netherlands and Carlos Hugo

Princess Irene married Carlos Hugo, the Duke of Parma, on April 29, 1964. She converted to Catholicism and married Hugo without the approval of the Dutch States-General and, as a result, lost her claim to the throne (she was second in line after her sister, Beatrix).

Princess Irene and Carlos Hugo divorced in 1981.

Princess Christina of the Netherlands

Like her sister Irene, Princess Christina married a Catholic and lost her claim to the Dutch throne. She and Jorge Perez y Guillermo were married on June 28, 1975, and divorced in 1996.

Edward, Duke of Windsor

Edward never divorced, but his proposal of marriage to Wallis Simpson - who left her second husband to marry him - caused a national crisis that resulted in his abdication as King Edward VIII.

He was given the title His Royal Highness The Duke of Windsor after he abdicated in December 1936.
